Sacred Ground

Mississippi Mound

The fall television premiere highlights are running, the buzz is in the air.  What shows are you going to watch?  Which are going to be the big crowd pleasers?  Everyone is so caught up, but did you ever stop to imagine what life was like before everyone had a television, phone, computer and countless other gadgets to keep us occupied?  It seems we are so caught up in what we may miss in the world of entertainment, we do not even stop to wonder about what we are missing right in our own backyards.

Think about it, what did people do before we had mass media to keep us entertained and distracted?  What sort of answers would we get if we just paid attention to what is going on around us in our immediate environment?  Have you ever spent time watching the stars?

What about visiting ancient spiritual sites?  Sure you can Google widely known spiritual sites from around the world–the Giza Pyramids and Sphinx, Stonehenge, Chitchen Itza–to read about what spiritual message they carry in place of seeing them firsthand.  Yet all along there were such sites right here in the U.S. that may hold secrets to what people knew before us. Yes, before us.  You really did not think we were the first group of people to live here did you or be the smartest group to grace this region?

When imagining the glory of Egypt at the time their great monuments were built, it seems they knew some secret we do not.  But did you know real glory on that same level existed near the Mississippi?  Why are we just learning about them now?  Why would our education skip such a seemingly significant piece of information?

It’s hard to say why we were never told, but we can be grateful for learning it now.  Check out what amazing ancient civilization finds have been right under your nose.

We are thinking it may be time for another road trip to find out.

One

The Big Bang Theory tells us that all living matter in existence came from one explosion.  Even the Bible tells us we come from one source.  If everything came from once source, then we can safely assume that we are all pieces of a whole.  Like the human body, our universe is a series of pieces or systems designed to work together as a whole.  When systems within the body do not work correctly, it may cause illness or distress of some kind.  When any system in the Universe is not in sync, we see the same kind of distress.

A more holistic/systems approach in medicine for a person is experiencing “digestive distress” may focus on recent life changes…new jobs, new relationships, big pending events.  That approach understands how connections affect the overall system.  A strong connection will ensure an effective warning system.  The discomfort is telling the individual to DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE PROBLEM.

What if the connection is our actual connection to God and what if that signal for the connection is poor from repeated attempts to sever it?  The growing need for a greater connection could explain the increased popularity of social sites, dating sites, online communities.  It seems we are all so eager to connect and the Internet provides a great conduit, but we may be overlooking the one activity that may hold more answers than expected.  Dreaming.

A technique called Integrative Dream Narration (IDN), has been used by writer and intuitive counselor, Jaye C. Beldo.  In using the technique with groups of five or six people, Beldo and his participants have experienced synchronistic experiences and by talking through dream “blockages”, it seems personal blockages are worked out too.  Calling it a “Dream Democracy”, Beldo speculates the countless areas where IDN may be helpful.  Those speculations will be put to the test as more and more people begin to train to use the technique elsewhere.

As Beldo tells it, his participants did more than just contribute their dreams for interpretation.  They also helped determine the dream connections and aided Beldo work through his own blockages.  That message alone stood out.  IDN does sound like a very technical process, but looking over the guidelines, it certainly looks manageable.  Participants regularly found themselves aiding in the process without having extensive experience in dream interpretation or even group facilitation.  Realizing the ease of application, it seems reasonable to envision many groups beginning to use the technique to work through problems, build group cohesiveness, or even offer therapeutic alternatives to illnesses, physical or mental.

Simple techniques like these, which improve any community, group, or individual, need more attention. The need to educate ourselves can only improve our overall situation during this rather interesting time on Earth.

I find it increasingly amusing to find techniques that bring us all back together so effortlessly.   Makes me wonder what else we are capable of.

Jonestown

What really happened in Jonestown on November 18, 1978?  Was it a mass suicide as the official story described or was the government trying to cover up CIA mind control experiments being conducted at the camp?

In 1985, John Judge wrote an article piecing together what happened in Jonestown, connecting the dots to an unsettling reality.  He takes key players we never knew much about, fills in their backgrounds and connections to government, and along with new details from those in a position to know, provides a quite different scenario from the official version.

Just how much power does the CIA hold and does our government have any control over them whatsoever?  They convinced President Obama to extend blanket immunity for all CIA interrogators without ever requesting a full investigation into their activities.  If the CIA acts in our name, do we have any right to know whether or not they are committing crimes?

The MK-ULTRA program was a covert 30-year experiment in mind control and targeted certain populations for both individual and mass control.  These target populations include blacks, women, prisoners, the elderly, the young, and inmates of psychiatric wards.  They were selected as “potentially violent.”  Surely it is just a coincidence that Jones’ followers consisted of people from these same groups, no?

One of the goals of MK-ULTRA and its sister programs (MK-DELTA, ARTICHOKE, BLUEBIRD, etc.) was the ability to control mass populations for cheap labor.  Dr. Jose Delgado told Congress that he hoped for a future where a technology would control workers in the field and troops at war with electronic remote signals.  He found it hard to understand why people would complain about electrodes implanted in their brains to make them “both happy and productive.”

One thing we are reminded of every day we spend down the rabbit hole – nothing is as it seems.  Up is down and down is up.  Black is white and white is black.  We have been conditioned our whole lives to believe that unless our government confirms a story, it must be a conspiracy theory.  They have dismissed so much over the years as conspiracy theories.

When will we demand the truth from our government?  Why are they hiding information from us?  Is it for our own protection or our own demise?

Apollo 20

How many Apollo missions were there?  Officially, there were 17.  Three others were planned, but were cancelled due to a reduced budget.  Or were they really cancelled?

What exactly is on the other side of the moon, the side we do not see?  Google “Mona Lisa” and “Apollo 20” together and you will read that in July 1971, Apollo 15 managed to find something on the other side of the moon that was worth going back to get a closer look.  Incidentally, Apollo 15 was the first mission with the Lunar Rover Vehicle, but by the time Apollo 15 launched it had already been announced by NASA that missions 17 through 20 would not take place due to budgetary constraints.

However, there is a good deal of online chatter about a classified joint mission between the US and Russia that supposedly never happened 34 years ago.  Because we consider ourselves skeptics and would not want to pass along false information, we looked into the sites claiming all info and video associated with Apollo 20 are part of an elaborate hoax.  What we found were a good number of sites classifying the video as anywhere from amateurish to a pretty good hoax video, but none of the sites actually point out detailed flaws within the video to back up their claims.  The worst said was that the alien body looked like paper machete, but again, not pointing out why.

The bigger the lie, the more it will be believed, but the bigger the truth the less likely it is to be believed.  So which is it?  A hoax or not?  Tell us what you think?

Ice Cold

So, my friend Doug stopped by.   His failed attempt to convince me of his womanizer status a distant memory, Doug has a new revelation for me, “I am ice cold.”  I laughed so hard it hurt.  Is he simply attempting to get a reaction out of me or is he testing his latest epic fail pick-up line for audience reaction before inflicting it on the general female population?

Doug is a tall, attractive 27-year-old African American who is funny and sweet, although he would not consider being sweet a compliment.  He is smart, successful, and well traveled for a young man his age and lives his life exactly how he wants to.   I admire that.

His desire to be perceived as this ice cold womanizer is unfortunate, as he just does not fit the bill.  He is too sweet and considerate and while I have no doubt he would be cold if the situation called for it, that is a far cry from being ice cold and I told him so.  I want to say he blushed but it was hard to tell, though his sheepish grin hinted at the possibility.

Doug does not lack confidence.  He once asked what my response would be if he approached me in a bar, and I told him my reply would be, “I am old enough to be your mother.  Any more questions?”

I am now on a mission to convince Doug that being a nice guy really is cool, but it looks like an uphill battle at this point.   Of course it does not help when the media and pop culture glamorize bad behavior, even going so far as to excuse it altogether in some instances.  Clearly the odds are not in my favor.

Luckily (or not) for Doug, I really like a challenge.

Kindness

How do you feel at the end of the week?  Would you classify it as a good week?  If not, we hope you have an experience today that turns it all around.  We know how difficult it is to remain upbeat and positive, yet it only takes one small gesture or act of kindness to get you back on track.

Small acts of kindness remind us of our humanity through moments of pure joy, no matter how fleeting they may be.  If you have not felt that today, this week, or even this month, we wish it for you today, this minute.  There have been so many times when we have had a rough day only to be surprised by the smallest gesture from someone else.

The feeling you get on the giving end of acts of kindness can catch you by surprise.  One day during lunch, we found ourselves sitting next to a multi-generational family.  An elderly gentleman, his daughter, and his two grandchildren were getting ready to leave when he was unable to stand on the first few tries.  Pausing in our conversation, Rosalee turned to the man, who was just two feet from her, and put her hand out.  She did not have to stretch, she did not even have to extend her arm entirely.  The gentleman grabbed her hand and stood.

“I’m fine once I’m up,” he said.

“I know exactly how you feel,” Rosalee replied.

“Isn’t that the truth?”, his daughter chimed in.

We are all fine once up on our feet, but sometimes we need a hand to get there.  That small moment has stayed with us.  It did not take any effort on Rosalee’s part to help and it taught us a very big lesson.  No matter how your day is going do not ignore opportunities to be kind and be willing to accept acts of kindness from others.  We all need a hand at some point and the rewards in both giving and receiving are priceless.

Enjoy a hug on us and until next time, pay it forward.

Fearless

When we started learning that all life is energy and energy never dies, it seemed natural to wonder how that lesson extends to our lives.

In a recent blog post by Robert Lanza, M.D., he explains it as the following:

“Physics tells us that energy is never lost, and that our brains — and hence the feeling of life — operates by electrical energy, and this energy simply can’t vanish…Since consciousness transcends the body…we’re left with consciousness as the bedrock of existence. Death has always meant only one thing: an end with no reprieve. If we’re just our body, then we must die. But if we’re our consciousness, the sense of experience, then we can’t die for the simple reason that consciousness is expressed in manifold fashion and is ultimately unconfined.”

So if death does not exist, then the fear of it should not exist.  And, if true, does that suggest all fears stemming from the larger fear of death also no longer exist?  Would that eliminate all fear?  If so, would the logical conclusion then be that there should be nothing to fear except those who seek to instill fear in us?

Institutions use fear to control people, influencing how they live, what they buy, how they worship, and ultimately who and what they fear.  As Joshua Guild at Holy Triage explains, “fear is very, very damaging to society.”  He goes on to say, “Using fear to control people is using a powerful psychological weapon.”  He also points out that antidepressants are the most-prescribed drugs in the U.S. according to the CDC.

If death and fear no longer exist and institutions are no longer able to influence us, who is in control then?

Question everything.

Confusion

Today, a user said that she wished we had an online course or reading list for the information we are putting out there to make it less confusing.  The thing is, we dove headfirst down the rabbit hole after we found Project Camelot and continue to follow leads to even more information.  We had (and have) no real road map for this journey and truly wish one had been provided to us early on.  If we ever find such a road map, we will post it prominently on the site.  We share your confusion.

From the start, we understood that the process of finding this information is a deeply personal one.  To design a roadmap/syllabus/step-by-step process would mean defining a starting point and determining the progression.  We can only seek out the information, share it and hope that others will find it as enlightening as we have.

Do we believe every single word we have read?  That would be impossible since in some instances there are contradictions from one perspective to another.  For instance, some people speak of 2012 as gloom and doom and yet others speak of it as a much less devastating transition.  By the way, we lean towards the more optimistic of the two outcomes.

Would a resource page listing all the links be helpful?  We could add the new links as we find them. Does anyone have any other suggestions?  This site is still evolving and feedback from users is crucial.  We will continue to post personal stories as well but for the moment we are trapped in the rabbit hole.  We believe the information too important to ignore and want to present it in the easiest way possible.
